Treatment Supports for Children & Caregivers
A Care Plan is established in collaboration with parents & children.
A care plan includes a range of supports that are individualized to your child’s needs. From direct intervention to home programs and consultation with caregivers, supports are designed to be flexible in order to meet your priorities.
-
Individual treatment sessions may be recommended to support areas of skill development identified during assessment. In-person and virtual meetings are available.
-
Caregivers are offered direct support with advocacy, navigating services and how to implement strategies at home. Collaboration regarding goals, progress and next steps is ongoing.
-
Documentation to support school accommodations or requests for funding can be prepared. This may include a formal report, letter of recommendation or completion of external forms.
-
Activities and resources can be shared with families for practice at home.
-
Communication with your child’s educators and other professionals can help build understanding and collaboration on goal areas.
-
Monitoring your child’s progress or screening developmental milestones at different stages of your child’s development can help update strategies to support growth and identify when additional early intervention may be appropriate.
-
Connecting caregivers and children with the right support is key. Referrals to other service providers can be facilitated.
